Ross Walking Festival 20th 21st October 2012

Bookings now being taken forRoss on Wye

The Annual Get Together/Conference 2012 takes
place on 20 & 21 October in the beautiful riverside
town of Ross on Wye in Herefordshire. As always, we
encourage as many of you as possible to come along
and take part.
There are walks on the Saturday afternoon, a dinner in the
evening then the full day conference on the Sunday. The walks
are free, the 3-course dinner is £18 per head including wine and
the organisers have managed to keep the cost of the Sunday ‘Get
Together’ down to an amazing £25 per delegate, including
refreshments and lunch.
If you can’t spare 2 days, then just come along for one day. For
those needing accommodation, there is plenty to choose from.
Why not make a mini break of it and stay an extra night or two to
explore the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. It’s also an ideal
opportunity for those towns in the south and west to come along.
This is where friendships are made, ideas are shared and you get
to feel part of the network, which is now getting towards 100 towns
and villages. It is also a great opportunity for aspiring towns to
come along and find out more before committing themselves. In
fact one of the workshops will be looking at the different
approaches two towns took to gaining accreditation and getting
started, with discussions on what worked well and what didn’t.
There will be plenty of room for each participating town and village
to bring along a display and leaflets to share with others. If you
would like to take advantage of this, please contact Sam Phillips
from Ross WaW so that he makes sure there are enough tables
laid out. Email Sam at: samph@gmail.com
