Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and as they have done in previous years Harts of Monmouth will be running their ‘Pennies for Pounds’ campaign. This involves customers donating their pennies to Breast Cancer Research and in exchange they will receive £5 off a bra. Anything donated will be enthusiastically accepted into their charity box.

Every year the total has exceeded the year before and the girls at Harts would love to continue the trend again this year. They offer a friendly and discreet service and stock a wide range of bras suitable for post surgery. Breast Cancer is something that has affected most people at some point in their lives, whether it’s you who has been through it or a friend, loved one, or distant acquaintance.

The Breast Cancer support group at Bridges Community Centre and the Breast Cancer Haven in Hereford are both places that people who have been affected by Breast Cancer can go to for advice and support.
This is a local group put together by local people to provide friendship, information and support. The Haven in Hereford is a national organization with individual branches. It aims to provide, free of charge, a wide range of therapies to support your wellbeing with and beyond breast cancer. Specialist nurses and experts in nutrition, exercise, emotional support and complementary therapies provide individualised in-depth programmes to help with physical and emotional side effects of breast cancer treatment.
