From now until the end of September, Hereford guides are on duty to show visitors around Hereford city. Parties leave the Visit Herefordshire Centre at 11.00am on weekdays and 2.30pm on Sundays. Booking not required but buy your ticket in the Visit Herefordshire Centre from Monday to Saturday 9.30am to 5.00pm

National Trust Brockhampton estate Herefordshire

This 1,700-acre estate was bequeathed to the National Trust in 1946 and still maintains traditional farms, ancient woodland and Herefordshire orchards. Enjoy a variety of walks  through the parkland, a rich habitat for wildlife and with stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

At the heart of the estate lies lower Brockhampton, a 14th century moated manor house with a unique timber framed gatehouse and ruined Norman chapel. Explore the grounds and surrounding paradise valley on the nature trail, visit the bird hide and natural play area or relax peacefully with a picnic by the moat.

Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Pageant Sunday 3rd June 2012

Wilton Court Restaurant with rooms are inviting you to join them to watch the Diamond Jubilee Pageant at highwater on Sunday 3rd June when they will be serving a special Jubilee Sunday lunch 

Full coverage of the Jubilee Pagaent  will be viewed on two large screens in the Mulberry Restaurant. The lunch will commence from 12.00 noon with a welcome pimms and canapes followed by a mouth watering  three course Sunday lunch served from 12.30 onwards.

At high water (midday) up to a thousand boats will muster on the River Thames including Her Majesty The Queen The Duke of Edinburgh and other members of the Royal family on the Royal Barge (The Spirit of Chartwell) all taking part in the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant. It will be one of the largest flotillas ever assembled on the river. Rowed boats, working boats  and pleasure vessels of all shapes and sizes will be beautifully dressed with streamers and Union Flags, their crews and passengers turned out in their finest rigs. The armed forces, fire, police, resuce and other services will be afloat and there will be an exuberance of historic boats, wooden launches, steam vessels and other boats of note. Continue reading

Truffle Herefordshire 12th December Chrsitmas Fayre

The Truffle Card is designed to offer exclusive ‘Treats’, offers, discounts across and wide range of INDEPENDENT HEREFORDSHIRE Businesses.

This is an important way of ensuring that money spent with these businesses stays in the county and to have a Card is totally free.

Every week you receive an Email giving you the latest List of ‘Treats’ and helpful information about opportunities in Herefordshire.

There are over 550 businesses signed up and nearly 10,000 Cardholders- if you are not on email –then watch for the Poster and Window stickers for Truffle Businesses.

On Monday, 12th December – Truffle Herefordshire is holding a Christmas Fayre – in High Town, Hereford – when over 20 Herefordshire businesses will have a Stand offering details of their Products or Services and their Treats.

They  want everyone to come along and visit the Stands and to sign up for a Truffle Card.

New Years Eve and New Years Day Celebrations at Wilton Court

If you have not yet planned your New Year celebrations we have one room left (room 10) which can be viewed on our gallery of rooms. 
This is a lovely opportunity to finish the year in a warm house party atmosphere .The package for two persons sharing is £485.00 to include
• Two nights’ accommodation with English breakfast
• A sumptuous New Year’s Eve Black Tie six course tasting menu with welcome reception and party music to dance in the New Year from 11pm
