Bromyard Christmas light SWITCH ON!

Image result for christmas lights switch on

Bromyard’s “fabled Christmas Illuminations” are “reputed to be the best display in Herefordshire”.

It’s big talk from the little town but every year the Big Switch On attracts thousands of people – 2,500 packed into the High Street last year, for the event’s 50th anniversary.

Helping the crowds get their Festive Feels on is Santa’s grotto and carol singing.

Lord of the Flies- At the Courtyard theatre

After finding themselves abandoned on a desert island following a catastrophic plane crash, a group of school children struggle to survive as rules and instinct clash. Emotions run high in the battle between civilisation and survival in this riveting tale of life on the edge of savagery. How dark is the darkness of man’s heart?

Packed with action, passion and emotion this gripping adaptation of William Golding’s masterpiece explodes on to the stage with a powerfully poignant plot that will leave you wondering what it really means to be human.

A Courtyard Production involving young local talent & professional actors.

Adapted for the stage by Nigel Williams. Directed by David Durant.

Schools information:
We recommend this thrilling production of this GCSE set text for anyone who is delivering a Scheme of Work of William Golding’s original novel to pupils 11+, or indeed anyone who would benefit from taking their students to see a theatrical re-imagining of a literary masterpiece.

An Education pack is available to download here, with a range of cross-curricular ideas suitable for students from KS3 to KS5.
We can also offer a free workshop for school groups at your school before seeing a performance.
