Abergavenny Christmas Food and Drink Fair Sunday 14th December 2014

The fourth Abergavenny Food Festival Christmas Food and Drink Fair takes place on Sunday 14th December  (10.00am – 5.00pm)

Lindy Wildsmith, award winning cook and food writer, will make festive drinks based on recipes from her new book ‘Artisan Drinks’. You will  have plenty of opportunity to sample the results. How about Artisan punch, an elegant liqueur, or a glamorous cocktail? tickets cost  £10.00.

The food Fair will showcase over eighty hand-picked specialist exhibitors so every facet of the festive season is covered: Fresh and cured meats, poultry and game, cheeses and chocolates, cakes and desserts, wines and liqueurs, ales and ciders and a whole lot more. So whether your taste runs to the rare and exotic, the innovative or the traditional the Food and Drink Fair has it all in one bag. No running from shop to shop and getting frazzled. Cider Weekend at Berrington Hall 4th 5th October 2014

Berrington’s annual cider harvest returns for another year. Browse their vintage selection of orchard apples and enjoy cider from local breweries Ralph’s and Pips cider. Local stallholders will be selling their best Herefordshire produce such as local pork sausages, cheese, honey and there’ll be traditional crafts on display. See Croft Castle’s parkland in another light

In Another Light

Working in partnership with Meadow arts, this winter you can experience Croft in a different light. It will feature contemporary art pieces in the form of a light exhibition in and around Croft’s garden, parkland, inner courtyard and other unusual spaces from the artist David Ogle. You can look forward to seeing Croft open late after hours every Saturday evening in winter until 8pm and lit up in a completely new way.
